What is the NAPHRO Secretariat?
In October 2013, NAPHRO established its Secretariat and the position of Executive Director. NAPHRO Co-Chairs and members oversee the overall direction of NAPHRO, the Secretariat plans and facilitates the development of relationships and gathering of business intelligence to facilitate partnership opportunities.
Renata Osika, NAPHRO Executive Director
Renata joined NAPHRO as Executive Director in November 2013, where she also co-chairs NAPHRO Impact Analysis Group.
Renata brings a strong background in all aspects of business management as well as the understanding of Canada’s Science, Technology and innovation milieu. As Program Director at the Council of Canadian Academies, Renata led multidisciplinary Expert Panels in synthesis of complex evidence-based public policy issues. Her work focused on various aspects of reporting on impacts of investment in research.
As a seasoned management consultant she brings a proven track record of adaptability to various business environments, and establishes positive and strong relationships with her clients from public and private sectors, higher-education institutions, and non-profit organizations. Her consulting experience includes program design, business planning, performance and risk management frameworks, and business analysis and processes re-engineering. She often supports management teams in facilitating strategic tasks, capacity development, communications and stakeholder engagement.
Renata currently serves as Special Advisor to the Board (Strategic Planning) for Ewings Cancer Foundation of Canada. She holds a Masters of Business Administration from Ottawa University, and completed her undergraduate studies in econometrics/computer science at the University of Waterloo.
